Latest Blackjack Family Hall
Inaugurated in 2002, the Blackjack Hall of Fame is located on the premises of barona casino in San Diego, California. In addition to professional players, participants included blackjack authors and other experts.
Blackjack Hall of Fame members are responsible for nominating new candidates. Voting among the candidates appointed to be included in the Hall of Fame is conducted by people invited to the Blackjack Ball.
Each parent blackjack Hall of Fame receives regular lifetime free benefits from Barona Casino, which includes a full room, meals, and drinks. The concern is that the master will not play at the casino blackjack table.
Here are some of the latest members of the Hall of Fame Blackjack, their induction years, and the highlights of their careers.
Anthony Curtis (2020)
Besides playing blackjack, Curtis is active in publishing. He runs the publication Huntington Press, which has released books on gambling, among others. Curtis also published a las Vegas Advisor bulletin, which focuses on discounts in Las Vegas.
Curtis’ interest in gambling began when he read Charles Einstein’s book How to Win in Blackjack when he was 16. He moved to Las Vegas in 1975, before he was 21, to become a professional gambler and develop a blackjack strategy.
Curtis has won over half a million dollars as a professional gambler. Blackjack’s game as well as the crap and keno competition Curtis has participated in include:

Rob Reitzen (2019)
One of the events contributing to Reitzen’s legendary status was his more than $500,000 win at Caesars Palace casino in Las Vegas one weekend. Mastery of blackjack strategy, the use of sequencing techniques, and the skill in shuffle-shuffle and card counting all allow it to beat the game in innovative ways.
Reitzen’s pursuit of a career as a professional blackjack player began in the 1980s. In one of the interviews, he recalls winning around $20,000 during a game at an underground casino in Amsterdam. He was also one of the founding partners of CORE, a highly profitable player banking operation.
Wally Simmons (2018)
Called one of blackjack’s most underestimated players, Wally Simmons had won millions of dollars using sophisticated blackjack strategies and techniques long before they became popular.
An intelligent computer programmer, Simmons created some of the earliest electronic shuffle tracking computers, many of which added to his income portfolio. In addition, he gained success in the field of prognostication of horse racing.
Another factor that adds to Simmons’ legendary status in the blackjack world is what is known as the Wally Super Bowl Party. The event lasted for over a dozen years and attracted the attention of the creme de la creme of the blackjack world.
Don Johnson (2017)
His experience as a game organiser and as a game executive of racing and casino Don Johnson has had plenty of opportunities to keep an eye on blackjack players and analyze their strategies. He started playing blackjack games with low bets for fun. Later, he studied the mathematics behind blackjack and the ways in which casinos cater to high games.
This led to Johnson’s most famous achievement, winning more than $15 million in six months in 2011 by beating three Atlantic City casinos: Tropicana, Borgata, and Caesars.
